Ammy Elliot

LISW

Amy is a Licensed Independent Social Worker who brings extensive experience and a compassionate presence to her work. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Simpson College and her Master of Social Work from the University of Iowa School of Social Work. Before joining Heartland, Amy served in a variety of settings, including residential treatment, outpatient therapy, school-based therapy, school social work, crisis pregnancy support, and youth ministry.

Amy has worked with children, teenagers, and adults who are navigating a wide range of concerns. She utilizes an integrated therapeutic approach, drawing from multiple evidence-based methods to meet the unique needs of each client. Her clinical interests include anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, trauma, grief and loss, and major life changes or transitions.

Having personally experienced God’s grace and hope throughout her own journey, Amy considers it a true honor to walk alongside others as they pursue growth, healing, and wholeness.

Outside of her professional life, Amy enjoys reading, music, traveling, and spending quality time with her family and friends—especially when it involves time in the mountains, a peaceful walk, trying a new restaurant, or sharing a cup of coffee.
