
Alyssa Benjamin

Alyssa is a licensed mental health counselor. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Child, Adult, and Family Services from Iowa State University and her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Drake University. She is trained in EMDR, TF-CBT, DBT, and CPP.
Alyssa believes that every person is made in the image of God and carries inherent value. She is passionate about walking alongside individuals, hearing their stories, and helping them rediscover hope, meaning, and joy. Alyssa has experience supporting clients navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, self-worth challenges, life transitions, women’s issues, relationship concerns, domestic violence, addiction, and grief. She is honored to journey with you as you work toward your goals and hopes in therapy.
Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys attending Iowa State football games with her husband, sipping a good chai latte, going on walks, reading, traveling, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
