About Claire
Claire is a Master Social Worker with a temporary license. She received her Bachelor of Social Work degree and Master of Social Work degree at Dordt University. Prior to joining Heartland, she has served in a school setting and a domestic violence crisis center. Some of her areas of clinical interest include anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment, identity, grief and loss, and domestic and sexual violence. Claire primarily sees children and teenagers but also sees adults of various ages. Claire desires to meet people where they are at and walk with them through their hardships. She seeks to create a safe environment to equip people with new skills and tools to promote lasting change. She believes that the Lord is the ultimate comforter, counselor, and healer and she is thankful for that assurance and hope. Outside of work, Claire enjoys spending time with her husband and her two dogs. She enjoys reading and watching movies and can often be found at coffee shops with friends and family.
