Meet Alyssa Benjamin, LMHC, New Addition to the WDM Therapy Team!

Alyssa is a licensed mental health counselor. She received her Bachelor of Science in Child, Adult, and Family Services from Iowa State University and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Drake University. She is trained in EMDR, TF-CBT, DBT, and CPP.

Alyssa believes every person is made in the image of God and has value. She has a passion to come alongside the individuals she serves to hear their story and help them to find hope, meaning, and joy in life. Alyssa has experience working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, self-worth, life adjustments, women’s issues, relationship issues, domestic violence, addiction, and grief. Alyssa is excited to work with you in achieving your goals and hopes in therapy.

In her free time, Alyssa enjoys attending Iowa State football games with her husband, loves a chai latte, going on walks, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
