About Ava

Ava is a licensed counselor who feels called to walk alongside others through life’s struggles and seasons of growth. She has a heart for serving adults and college students in a variety of different areas, including anxiety, OCD, grief, trauma, boundaries, relationship challenges, and identity concerns.

She earned her B.A. in Psychology from Iowa State University and her M.S. in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Illinois State University. Ava approaches therapy with compassion, a desire to reflect Christ’s love, and a little bit of humor when the conversation allows. She integrates several therapeutic methods—including Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Art Therapy activities—tailoring her approach to each person’s unique needs.

At the core of Ava’s work is a desire to help people see themselves through God’s eyes—as deeply loved, known, and valued. She considers it a privilege to create a space where clients can bring their full selves, joys and sorrows alike, and find rest in biblical truth and the hope of the Gospel.

In her free time, Ava enjoys making art, playing music, drinking bubble tea, and spending time with loved ones.
